Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the conditions for using KAYA ("Service"), an app for nurturing relationships through personalized readings grounded in classical Eastern systems and provided by Ryoichi Sasaki ("Operator"). Please read these Terms before using the Service.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the Operator regarding the Service. By installing or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
2. Service
The Service provides personalized readings based on classical Eastern systems such as Four Pillars of Destiny and Zi Wei Dou Shu, together with AI-generated explanations.
3. Conditions of Use
- You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. Users under 14 may not use the Service. If a distribution platform or country or region imposes a higher minimum age, that requirement takes precedence. Users aged 14 through 17 may use the Service only with consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- You use the Service at your own responsibility.
- You must comply with the laws of Japan and your country or region.
4. Prohibited Acts
- Violating laws or these Terms.
- Infringing intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service.
- Mass access or scraping with automated tools.
- Interfering with operation of the Service.
- Acts that disturb other users or third parties.
- Other acts the Operator considers inappropriate.
5. Intellectual Property
Designs, text, software, and other content in the Service belong to the Operator or legitimate rights holders. Copying, modifying, or reusing them beyond the permitted scope is prohibited.
6. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness, accuracy, or completeness.
- Personalized readings and AI explanations are reference information and do not guarantee future events.
- The Operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
- The Operator is not liable for interruptions due to communication or system failures.
7. Paid Service (Premium)
The Service includes free and paid Premium features. Purchases and cancellations follow the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- For in-app purchases, refunds follow each store's policy. The Operator cannot process direct refund requests.
For the web version, you can purchase via credit card payment through a payment service provider designated by the Operator. Subscriptions renew automatically on each renewal date unless canceled, and can be canceled anytime from account settings. Even after cancellation, you can continue using the service until the end of the current period. Except where required by law, refunds are not provided once service has begun.
8. Changes and Termination
The Operator may change, suspend, or terminate the Service without prior notice and is not liable for resulting damages except as otherwise required by applicable law.
9. Changes to Terms
The Operator may update these Terms as needed. Updated Terms become effective when posted on this page. Important changes may also be announced in the app.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes related to the Service.
11. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the laws applicable to you.
